Champion standardbreds that have trained at McGhees' MIle include American Winner, Greyhound, Adios and Knight Dream. Our goal is to produce that many more champions, plus some.
More than $3 million has been invested in this track in the past 20 years, from new barns and stables to grooming quarters and paddocks.
Beginning in October 2009, all three tracks at McGhees' Mile will be resurfaced, providing an even better training experience. The photo on the right is of preliminary surface work already under way.
McGhees' Mile has seven Olympic-style barns, eight shed row barns, two inside barns and 10 paddocks.
There are 250 Loddon stalls at McGhees' Mile that are avilable for rent. We have an additional 60 Loddon stalls, which are dissassembled and properly stored, for sale. Please call or shoot us an e-mail for details.
